Twin Star Credit Union awards 14, $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors.   An application form may be downloaded at www.TwinStarCU.com.  Deadline is March 31, 2008.

Over $350,000 in scholarships is available for LGBTQ students and allies.  Visit www.pridefoundation.org/scholarships or www.thegsba.org/scholarships for more information.  The deadline for application is January 25, 2008.

Seniors with a 3.5 or better GPA who are pursuing an education through a college cooperative education program may apply for scholarships of up to $6,000 annually.   Visit their Website at www.co-op.edu.  Deadline for application is Feb. 15, 2008.

Students attending a WA State school that has an agriculture program and who are in a program in the field of Organic Farming are eligible to apply for the Robert J. Meyer Scholarship.  Deadline for application is March 31, 2008.

The Fort Lewis Family Member Scholarship Fund makes scholarships available to children and spouses of Fort Lewis soldiers.  More information is available to scholarfl@hotmail.comor www.lewis.army.mil/Ctr_of_Excellence or www.lewisfamilyfocus.com.  Applications can be picked up at the Family  Resource Center at 9th Division Drive and Idaho Street, Ft. Lewis.  The applicant must provide proof of a valid military ID card.  Deadline is April 1, 2008.

AXA Achievement scholarships:  Seniors demonstrating ambition and drive, determination to se and reach goals, respect for self, family and community and the ability to succeed in college are encouraged to apply online:  www.axa-achievement.com .  The deadline is February 15, 2008.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities have several different scholarships available.  Visit their Website at www.rmhc.org.  The deadline for applications is February 15, 2008.

Financially needy students with close cultural ties to an American Indian tribe are eligible to apply for the American Indian Endowed Scholarship.  The application is available at www.hecb.wa.gov/paying/waaidprgm/aies.asp.  The deadline for application is February 1, 2008.

USA Funds awards up to 3.2 million in scholarships.  Apply at www.usafunds.org/scholarship before February 15. 2008.

 

21st Century Educator Scholarships:  Graduating high school seniors pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply for 3, $4,000 scholarships awarded by the WASA and the PEMCO Foundation. Applications are available online at www.wasa-oly.org/services/schol08.pdf.   The deadline for application is March 7, 2008. 

Students interested in applying to Evergreen:  The deadline for scholarship applications is February 1st.

A Reminder for Graduating seniors, class of 2008:  Students who still need to complete and present their portfolios this spring need to attend the meeting for 2008 Grads and parents in the theater at 6:30 tonight.

 

The SEMI Foundation and SEMI Pacific Northwest Steering Committee offer 3, $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing a major in Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or an Education degree with a focus on teaching math or science.  See their Website at www.semi.org/pnwscholarship.  Deadline is March 15, 2008.

 

The Olympia Tumwater Foundation offers scholarships to graduating seniors with a 3.0 or better GPA who demonstrate financial need, academic promise, work ethic and community involvement.  See Kay for an application.  Deadline is April 21, 2008.
